Growing up feels like deteriorating- our bodies and our circumstances change and it sometimes feels like one big extended autumn. Beautiful, sometimes. Ending, inevitably. This debut collection explores the idea of growing up and coming to terms with that.

My journey in poetry began when I was ten years old, typing up my rhymes in Microsoft Word in typewriter font. As a teen, my writing evolved from love poems in diaries and Tumblr posts, to explorations on the meaning of life and death (you know, the big stuff).
By college, I had found my voice by studying The Greats--imitation turned into originality. By the time I graduated, I was published in literary journals and awarded Senior Class Poet. Finally taking the plunge, I published The Long Decay in 2021.
My debut book, The Long Decay, is a collection of poetry written over the course of eight years in the peaks and valleys that is growing up. Polished, honest, and lyrical, this anthology provides the poetic meditation you're looking for.
